DLR and its SESAR2020 PJ05 partners Frequentis AG & the Lithuanian ANSP Oro Navigacija are pleased to invite you to another OPEN DAY at DLR Braunschweig, Germany on 12/12/2018 to visit a V2 Exercise related to SESAR solution “PJ.05.03 Remote Tower Center with Flexible Allocation of Aerodromes to Multiple Remote Tower Moduls”. It is a V2 validation that explicitly focusses on the splitting and merging of Aerodromes to a multiple Remote Tower Module (mRTM) to deal with overload, emergency or any other disturbing event to balance workload and situation awareness.
The exercise PJ-05 EXE-05.03-V2-3.1 will be conducted in the remote tower laboratory at DLR Braunschweig from 03/12/2018 until 11/12/2018: In a real-time human-in-the-loop Simulation two ATCOs via two separate mRTMs control three aerodromes with simultaneous VFR and IFR traffic in a realistic traffic scenario while performing aerodrome splitting and merging procedures.
The Open Day starts with some introductory class room sessions incl. some intermediate feedback from the ATCOs. Afterwards you can watch an example test run in the remote Tower laboratory with Lithuanian Oro Navigacija ATCOs.
Please find more detailed Information here.
Registration deadline is 31/10/2018. Confirmation is sent out the day after.
